Moral and Spiritual Development:
Moral and spiritual development has its basis in one’s concept of God.  Many may feel that our country is now suffering disintegration of its
moral fiber.  We at CCC feel that a basic sense of God as Creator can form the foundation for future construction of sound moral and
spiritual values.  It is appropriate, we feel, to form this foundation at an early age.  Therefore, where natural, children will be taught about
God in terms of Creator and Friend.  Prayers will be offered before meals and snacks.  Songs of religious flavor will be used along with
other musical material.  All of this will be done in a non-denominational way.
“Self-image is beliefs and attitudes toward oneself, the conscious or unconscious evaluation of all assets, characteristics, liabilities and
behavior…A child with a strong self-image has a comfortable feeling that he’s a worth while human being…whether this self-image gives pain
or pleasure has a great deal to do with the child’s future happiness and fulfillment.”  Elizabeth Peterson, Family Life Educator, University of
Minnesota.
Children with positive self-concepts tend to learn well.   We desire to put a primary emphasis on the skills that children do possess instead
of focusing on the ones lacking.

Development of Socialization Skills:

Children in their early years tend to be self-centered by nature.  We will offer them opportunity and guidance to learn to function in a
group, to develop the desirable qualities of sharing, helping others, and feelings for others needs.  Development from an egocentric to a
socio-centric view of life is foundational to the future development of a preschooler.

Love:

This says something about the atmosphere at CCC.  We don’t just say it, we like to live it.  Every attempt is made to make it more than just
words.  Each child is to feel that he/she is loved by God,  the director and staff and for what they are as an individual.

Development of Skills and Concepts:

We want to prepare your child academically.  There is a widely held educational concept that a child will learn skills and concepts when he is
ready and that he will clearly indicate that time.  We subscribe to this concept with the result that no child is forced to learn in areas that
they are not prepared to learn in.
Our goal is to develop the total child:  Spiritually, Physically, Mentally, Socially, and Emotionally
Positive Self-Image
